This virgin high-run paleo channel is located in the richest gold area in British Columbia. The channel consists of two areas, the lower part being cobble to boulder gravels and the upper part consisting of gravel crudely stratisfied, which contains an abundant of silt and fine sand.
Gold occurs in all units below the upper 8 feet of over burden and gold values increase with depth.
Nuggets are up to 28 grams in weight and are rounded with smooth surfaces.
Purity is AU.9104 and AG.0808
This channel was previously over rode and buried by the Late Wisconsinan Glaciers.
Mine is 95% developed and is approximately 6 feet from the gold bearing gravels resting on bed rock.
Access to the mine is 2 kilometers off the paved Barkerville Highway, also known as Highway #26 and 10 kilometers from Wells, BC.
