Project Category: Production
-
43 Placer Claims, 200+ Quartz Claims, 10-year Water License, 3 Miles of Prospecting Leases totaling a combined land area of over 4000 hectares
Some equipment, operators, and recent geological surveys available.
The Livingstone Creek area has recorded 60,000 ounces (oz) of gold production in its 100-plus-year history. The owners have recovered over 10,000 oz of gold within the old-timers’ worked zones. Several rich areas have been discovered and were able to produce 350 oz in 2000 sluiced yards. These productive areas were all among the old-timers’ mines, which is a 1.5-mile long portion of the creek. Today several miles of untouched channel remain. The current owner found a nugget weighing over 36 oz and there are records showing a further eight recorded placer nuggets weighing over 20 oz each. The Livingstone area is known for its abundance of large gold nuggets, and the largest in the Yukon.
